Abre Etteh is the controller for the personal data this site stores. Contact abre.etteh@gmail.com.

What is stored

Clerk stores your name and email so you can sign in. The database stores your study record: answers, review schedule, scenario runs, tutor messages, CPD entries, and the bodies you tick for filing labels.

Stripe stores the card and the billing address. This site stores the Stripe customer id, the subscription status, and whether cancellation is set for the end of the period. It does not store the card number.

Tutor questions and the clause excerpts retrieved for them are sent through the Vercel AI Gateway to the model providers named on the sub-processors page. The database also keeps a record of each AI call (the model, the size of the call and its estimated cost, not the text), so a monthly cost limit can be applied. Server logs at Vercel keep error messages without the text you typed.

Why

The account, the study record, and the subscription are kept to provide the service you signed up for.

Invoices stay at Stripe. They are not deleted when you delete your learning account, because tax records have to be kept. The learning record itself is deleted.

Export and delete

On Account you can download a JSON file of your learning record. You can also delete the account. Deletion removes your database row and asks Clerk to delete the sign-in. An active subscription is cancelled in Stripe first. If Stripe cannot be reached, the account is left in place so a subscription is not left running with nobody able to sign in.

Filing labels are for your own CPD notes. They are not sent to RIBA, ARB, or any other body.

How long

The learning record is kept until you delete the account, or until the service itself is closed. Stripe keeps billing records on its own retention rules.
